Ophelia hadn't spent much time outside in her flat block, she normally went straight up to her small apartment and stayed there without having to come outside for anything apart from classes and the need to food shop. Today was an exception as apparently there was some sort of tenants meeting about an issue that was going on in the building, there was scheduled water works being carried out nearby that may affect the supply to the building. Was what the meeting had actually been about.

A little annoyed that had been all that they were going to tell them, after calling nearly all of the inhabitants down out of their rooms, Ophelia turned on her heel and made her way back towards her flat. It really wouldn't have been that hard for them to just convey that information to them through some kind of letter posted through their doors or on the communal notice board they had to pass by every day. Instead they decide to get everyone away from their business and make them go here and there, when she knew she had better things to be doing.

She was just finishing up her reading on the different types of venom in spiders and the effects they had on the body when she had been interrupted and forced to come and listen to this drivel by the next door neighbour. He was, annoying, but in a pleasant way. The constant requests to spend time with him were getting troubling though, Ophelia would have to figure out a way to tell him she just wasn't interested.

As she rounded the corner and made her way to the stairs, she saw someone else she was acquaintanced with standing there. Augustine had been someone she had met through less than pleasant circumstances but, over the few months they had known each other he had been more tolerable than the rest of the people that she had to talk to on a frequent basis. She didn't come out often, and when she did sometimes they wouldn't meet each other in the hallways but when they did see each other they spoke.

Sometimes she wondered if it was out of politeness sake on his half, not really knowing what joy he would find in speaking to an emotionally stunted freak like her who would sooner go off about spider venom than what most women would.

Inclining her head towards him, Ophelia smiled shyly;

"Hi, Augustine." she greeted, making her way up the stairs towards her flat.

Augustine just gotten in the door. He heard noticed the heard out burst of things how about the water and Augustine shook he's head. That was sad. Sad, just urg. He simply shook he's head again, and carried himself back upstairs. He's eyes moving as he held he's coffee mug in he's hand. Shaking he's head. Yerterday was havoc. How can to day be. Who knew. He missed he's brother dearly. And wondered where he was. Wondering if he would see him again. Wondering if Augustine would be worth he's time. Of course Augustine would. He's brother managed to get him out of Jail. So he's brother did care.

He had been developing a friend of sort with a Female. Ophelia, lovely gal whom gotten into the wrong mess due to her brother. However, over the six months that Augustine spent with her, and getting to her know her. They've become good friends. Augustine almost enjoying her strange odd topics Snake venom, Spider venom, and other outrageous things. That a man like him wouldn't give a dime about her. After what he did. However, Augustine ahd grown interested and decided to put effort into it. She was awfully cute, and she had clearly grown on him over the past Six Months that he had known her.

He stopped to look at the boards."Oh come on, You've got to be joking right?" Augustine stated, simply shaking he's head. This was some form of sick twisted joke right? He thought how dare they. IT WAS the water SUPPLY! He cussed. Only to blink as he noticed, Ophelia."Hello, have a topic that's interesting?" He told her as he followed her. "Spider Venom or Snakes? What's it gonna be? Perhaps How Lions Bite hard?" He asked her curiously. Chuckling."How have you been, Ophelia?" He asked her. He kept he's pace with her. As he followed her up. They lived near together. He was like her next door neighbor. He's door was right in front of hers.

Augustine, smiled. Perhaps, Augustine should ask her? While he had the chance. Or maybe he should wait a bit longer. Augustine couldn't really decide. Ophelia was far to interesting for her own age. They were like nearly the same age cap. Right, so like why not? Plus, it wouldn't hurt. They both went to University. Even though, Augustine barely went there. Though he did part take in some classes. But he was doing other things. "How are things with everything, and how are you holding up, Ophelia?" Augustine asked her.

Ophelia smiled lightly when Augustine asked her if she had a topic that was interesting to speak about today, she did as a matter of fact from her reading that she had been doing earlier on in the day. It wasn't about spider venom like the most recent book she had gotten her hands on but snake venom instead. Things to do with nature and destruction often interested her and the capability to kill these animals possessed was astounding, given their small size.

She doubted that Augustine would find it as interesting as she did but she decided that she would share anyway considering that he had asked her.

"I finished a book earlier today in snake venom, it was a very illuminating read. For example, did you know that there are two main types of venom in snakes? One is called a neurotoxin which affects the brain and paralyses the body when it is injected into the snakes prey, the other classification is called haemotoxic where the venom affects the blood." she explained with a shy smile, clasping her hands behind her back as she walked so she could wring her hands together.

When he asked her how she was holding up, Ophelia smiled lightly and shrugged her shoulders. Things were going as well as could be expected, she didn't enjoy spending time with the people at University and they didn't enjoy spending time with her - the loneliness continued but that was acceptable for her. At least she could study without being interrupted at crucial points by texts and various other communications.

Even if she might secretly enjoy it.

"Things are going fine." Ophelia admitted "University is progressing well, I finished my first assignment not a few days ago well in advance of the date when it is supposed to be submitted. It was quite rudimentary looking back. What about you uhm...how is it hanging?" she asked, attempting to break from her normal formal speech and try some slang for a change. Augustine might appreciate it.

Augustine looked at her and smiled. Oh he loved her company. She grew on him so much over the six months. He wanted to ask her a question. However he had no idea how she would take it or react to it. What's the worst thing that can happen, her saying No? He thought to himself. She was awfully cute. This tiny Ophelia was just amazing. She was so pretty, cute, and adorable. He needed to ask her this. Maybe she shared the same opinion on him. Asking her out and her saying yes. Would be he's biggest and most happiness choice he had made in he's life perhaps.

"Well that is truly interesting I must say. Snake venom. That's quite a bit impressive. Tell me more about snakes. I want to know more about them. If you don't mind." he asked her. As he showed interest into the subject. Augustine smiled and walked with her. She had amazing personality and she was amazingly smart. Hopefully he would be with her for a long time if she accepts.

He looked at her smiling."Oh Ophelia. That's great that things are great. So, Ophelia. I've been meaning to ask you something." he said only to blink as she attempted slang. he was very impressed and happy. Gladly appreciating it. "I've been doing just fantastic. " he told her. Maybe bringing up that he had something to ask her wasn't such an amazing idea at first. But he might as well try it. There was no going back now that he had said what he said. "So, Ophelia.. How would you feel if the two of us went out or dated?" He offered her while he asked her a question. Wondering what she would say on the matter. If she said no. That's totally fine. If she said yes. He would be a very happy man. And would greatly look after her. Not like he wasn't already.

He enjoyed, Ophelia company's very much. He would be so lucky to be able to date her. She was so amazingly perfect.

Ophelia was surprised to hear that he wanted to learn more about snakes, she didn't think that Augustine would be very interested in the subject but perhaps she was wrong. Maybe he used some snake venom in drugs or something she didn't know, all she did know about his work was that it was on the illegal side of things and her brother had gotten mixed up in it when he really shouldn't have. For all she knew snake venom could be in drugs, she didn't learn much about that side of life.

"Uhm, well, certainly if you wish to know more about them I can tell you just about anything that you want to know." she replied, wracking her brains for something interesting to tell Augustine about.

"Did you know that there are no less than twenty enzymes that can be found in snake venoms? There are in each type of venom only six or eight of these enzymes but overall there are only twenty that can be found in all of the different breeds of snake which are: Proteolytic enzymes; Phosphomonoesterase; Arginine ester hydrolase; Phosphodiesterase; Thrombin-like enzyme; Acetylcholinesterase; Collagenase; RNase; Hyaluronidase; DNase; Phospholipase A2 (A); 5'-Nucleotidase; Phospholipase B; L-Amino acid oxidase; Phospholipase C; Lactate dehydrogenase; and Adenosine triphosphatase."

When she had finished reciting the information which she personally found fascinating about the different enzymes that could be found within the venom of snakes, Ophelia paused as it became evident that Augustine wanted to say something to her. Perhaps it would be something about his own interest into snake venom, it would be interesting to have a conversation about it.

What Augustine did ask though, failed to compute for a few seconds and Ophelia blinked up at him rather uncertain she had heard what he said correctly. He had appeared to ask her to date him, become his girlfriend. That couldn't possibly be correct because she was a nerdy loser who read about snake venom, and Augustine was the strangely attractive bad boy who lived opposite her and not six months ago wanted to extort money from her and her brother for drugs.

"You are asking me to go on a date with you?" she asked, shyly looking to the floor "As in, a romantic outing for the two of us? That sort of a date or were you meaning a simple friendly excursion, because I find it best to clarify before I get the wrong message."

"So, Ophelia.. How would you feel if the two of us went out or dated?" He offered her while he asked her a question.

Augustine looked a her as he looked forward to whatever she had in mind in terms of listening about her snake talk. Perhaps he could use the poison in the venom and extract herbal elements into it in terms of heighten the pleasure of the drugs. Who truly knew, Ophelia. Would be helpful in that matter. Maybe she would help with her science advice, the rest he would figure out on he's own. It wasn't too hard to put two and two together. He smiled at her and spoke."Fascinating really. Now what can you tell me about Frog Poisoning, in different colored frogs. I would like to know more. Knowledge is very useful in this world. You should keep that in mind, Ophelia. Don't you ever drop out of The University or stop going." He informed her. As what he said was true. Knowledge was a very powerful thing.

Looking at her as he smiled. At her sure she was nerdy. But she was nerdy in a cute way. Augustine would be a fool to pass such an opportunity to ask her out. He would be a fool if he hadn't asked and someone else seeped her off he's feet."I'll be a fool if I didn't, Ophelia. I'll be a very dumb man." he told her honestly. As he nudged against her right arm with his left."You know what I mean, Ophelia." He told her. Hoping she would understand. That Augustine did want them to date. But to clear up any form of misunderstandings. He had to officially say it. "Yes a Date. I've thought about this a lot. I just didn't know the right time to ask you. I guess this just came out, mostly because I haven't thought of the proper place. That and I didn't want anyone else to steal you. If You were taken by another man. I would have been very upset, Ophelia." He told her.

If another guy took her already. He might have to slap a witch into the next tomorrow. Sure she was nerdy and smart. However she held a beauty far then she realized. Cute, tiny framed, petite, adorable, and pretty she was. Intelligent, Book smart, knowledgeable, wise for her age, and nerdy. All that Augustine wanted from a woman. Now this person was within his eyes. He would be an idiot if he didn't take and claim for her. You never knew they might end up married to each other one day. If she accepted him as a mate and a boyfriend.

Ophelia was a little offended that Augustine would think that she would ever need to drop out of University. She was intellectually comfortable there, she knew most of the material on the course already from having read her course text books and committed the information to her Mind Palace for her to access at a suitable time later on. Perhaps though, he meant to encourage her to continue her dream instead of suggesting that she might fail because of personal or intellectual deficiencies.

"Well, I doubt that I will suffer enough challenges to leave the University, I have already mastered the course materials. All I am waiting for is the exams and the assignments to be posted and completed so I can finish the year swiftly." she replied factually, before shrugging her shoulders and answering his question about frogs and their venom "Most colourful frogs have venom, but they don't have any way to pass that venom on except through skin contact. The venom sits on their skin and when touched, passes to the being that has come into contact with it."

She was still in disbelief when she heard that Augustine really did want her to go on a date with him, Ophelia took a time to think over the words that he had spoken to her. It was obvious that he meant them but they didn't make sense to her. Why would he find someone like her interesting when Ophelia was certain there were deadly, leather clad women in his organisation that would be more suitable a partner for him than she would ever be.

"W-well I do not have any other males, or females, who have expressed an interest in dating me. I am free to go on a date with you, on a day of your choosing. I am completely free for the next few weeks so whenever it is convenient I would be happy to come with you somewhere." Ophelia admitted, hoping that he would be happy that she was completely free to pursue this idea of a date with him.

"I will be interested to see how the date goes once we are on it. Might I suggest some places I would find amiable to spend time in? There is a new exhibition in the museum that I wished to go to, if you would like something more standard for a first date I also enjoy Japanese food." she suggested, giving him some ideas for a date seeing as he admitted not to have any place in mind.

Augustine looked at her and smiled."Ah, I see. I am sure you won't have difficulty in The University. Keep doing what you were doing. So yah." he said softly. He wanted her to keep at it at the University maybe his choice of words wasn't what he wanted to say and said it the wrong way. He wanted to encourage her to keep doing what she was doing.

Augustine looked at her."I see that is very interesting indeed. I must get myself. Colorful Frogs. As a Collection of Sort. They seem very pretty looking. Any who what else can you tell me about poisonous animals, Ophelia." he asked her calmly. He wanted to know lots of things about animals. She seemed to know a lot about the poisonous ones.

Shaking his head he would simply sigh. He then looked at her and nodded."Yes as am I." he told her. Shaking he's head slowly he would simply sigh."Museum it is. How about next week on Friday? Since you like Japaneses we can go to eat something, after the Museum." He gave her both options instead of one. Hoping she would accept both or just at least one. Augustine would be most happy.

He wanted to do a lot of things. He wouldn't mind spending he's day with her at a Museum at all in fact he would find it very interesting, In fact. He would be really thrilled. Hoping she would enjoy it. Augustine hopped for the best.

Ophelia nodded her head with a small smile, she wanted to continue with the course for as long as she needed to, and perhaps she would be able to complete it early and go on to enroll in another. She wouldn't mind learning as much as possible while she attended University, but, the problem would always be financing herself through her dreams. She knew she was intelligent but, in order for other people to officially see it too she needed degrees and masters and PHD's.

It wasn't a question of mentally being able to achieve them but rather, how she was going to pay for them all.

"I will, thank you. Are you attending the University at all?" she asked "I haven't seen you around campus if I have, but then again, I do not spend much time there when it is not required of me for lectures and the like."

It would not be advisable for Augustine to get himself a collection of colourful frogs, they required a lot of attention and specialist equipment to look after. That was without taking into account the fact that they were hard to obtain and might in fact be illegal in this country, or they were at least frowned upon to own given they belonged in rain forests and their other natural habitats.

"I would advise against it unless you had your heart set on possessing a collection, the museum has a wonderful array if you simply wanted to see them. In order to stop yourself from being poisoned expensive specialist equipment is needed to handle the frogs while cleaning their enclosure." Ophelia informed with a small smile.

Going to the museum and also getting Japanese food on the same date was more than she could have asked for but, Ophelia was pleased that Augustine had suggested it. Even more than before now she was excited at the prospect, she was going to be going on a date. Her! With Augustine someone she thought, and still does think, is way out of her league. Her smile grew shy and she scuffed the tip of her shoe on the floor anxiously as she replied;

"I think that sounds like a wonderful plan. Shall I meet you out here at 3pm on Friday or will you call for me at my apartment?" she asked.

Augustine had been dreaming for ages about asking her out. Now that he had finally asked. He felt like a huge burden was just released from his body. He felt very proud of his work. He had accomplished such fits. He resumed walking with her. He looked at her and he smiled. Then that frown went upside down. Damn he had to make some up. In regards about him not showing up. For once Augustine decided to go with the truth. "I haven't Ophelia." He told her honestly."You know exactly why I miss on this. You know the drugs and all that stuff. Plus I tend to get a bit lazy. I have awful habits and hobbies." He told her. She should have been aware of this. Perhaps she would fix him and change him? Perhaps she might be the one to get him away from that life.

Sure she at times put compelling arguments. However, Augustine refused to take in some of her intellectual and wise advise at times. But he really shouldn't do that. She then went on about the frogs and her advising Augustine against it. Truth be told she was being very correct."Yes, perhaps you are very right. I guess I shouldn't then." he agreed with her. Without any protesting. He looked at her and smiled."Yes let's not get me any frogs. I might misplace them." he joked slightly and placed his hand on the back of his head scratching his head. As he hoped she would understand his slight joke.

Her next words had brought him to joy. She would so do it. Oh my goodness. Yes, this was amazing. And almost unbearable. To be able to go out on a date with Ophelia. Someone who is smart, knowledge, amazingly pretty and hot. Was like a dream come to true to him. He was really amazing. To be quite honest. Sighing as he took a few moments to relax himself and calm down.

"You don't mind if I just knock at 3 pm at your doorstep? We practical live back to back. Unless you prefer to meet here, or me to call. It's up to you. Really, it doesn't matter to me. I am doing this to make you happy. " he told her honestly. He needed for this to work. He enjoyed Ophelia's company a lot. So he will do whatever it takes.

Ophelia would tell Augustine off for not having gone to university more often but to be honest he was an adult and he could make his own choices. Perhaps he had been having a rather difficult time at work and that was why he had not been able to get to his classes. Whatever the reason she was quite fine with him not having gone, he could do whatever he wanted she supposed even if he did seem to want something different for her.

Smiling lightly at his joke about misplacing the frogs, Ophelia knew that it was exactly that, just a joke. Augustine wouldn't be so irresponsible to allow frogs to wander around the apartment when they were poisonous and could represent a great amount of danger to him. It was for the best she thought that he had decided against getting some of them as pets for himself, it could only end badly.

"Ah no, no I don't mind." Ophelia replied with a soft smile "I think that sounds like a good idea, so, I will expect you to call on me at three o clock then. I will make sure that I am ready to leave on time." she stated with a nod of her head.

Now that was sorted, she withdrew the key to her apartment from her pocket and slipped it into the lock of the door. Giving Augustine another smile, Ophelia wondered if she should invite him in for a drink. It was only polite after all. Maybe though he wanted to leave things between them until their date? Either way she wouldn't mind.

"Do you want to come in or do you have something else you need to do?" she asked.

Augustine was always being lectured by Ophelia. How he should go to classes. Ya ya yah, he heard it a million times. He knew he had to go and pass the classes. But he was always busy with Work, plus he was really to lazy for it to be quite honest. He didn't want to make extra effort to go to classes. It was simply to boring to be quite honest. He smiled at her and resumed walking along side her. He was happy to be with Ophelia. Ophelia was simply amazing to be quite honest, such a stunning women whom he will be taken out for a date.

He nodded, he found his joke slightly funny. Augustine would never misplace such an deadly frog. It would be hazardous to him. He nodded her smile and understood she got the joke. "You will expect a call from me, at three o'clock exactly." He said calmly. Nodding his head. This was great now he had to pick out himself something nice to wear, perhaps some dress pants and shirt, or a suit all together. Would be nice. But that was a bit overly dressing wouldn't. He didn't know what to pick. He will most likely go with a suit.

He looked at her as she placed the key into the key hole. She spoke to him. Augustine smiled and nodded. "Yes, I would love to come in. If you don't mind." He smiled back, he was happy that she would allow him to go inside, and invited this time. She was simply amazing.
