Jemma slipped into one of the booths right next to the employee exit. She then went and set up shop, grabbing a coffee from the counter before pulling her hood up and setting her mask in place, which was blank porcelain mask sculpted to her exact proportions, along side her voice changer, though to anyone not sitting opposite her, she looked normal. Next Jemma pulled out her laptop and and various files and lays them on the table, making her look like a business woman. Finally, Jemma slide the money bag in next to her.

Jemma set about working on other projects, and waiting for her target, pulling her mask away from her face when she takes a drink of her coffee. Finally, Jemma heard the door beside her. With a quick check, Jemma found it was the person she was hoping for. "Cassandra George, I imagine you just want to get home, since your shift has just finished, but I have much to talk to you about, please, have a seat," Jemma's altered voice said as she motioned for the woman in question to sit across from her.

A Fair Trade (Jemma and Cassandra) Empty Re: A Fair Trade (Jemma and Cassandra)

Work for Cassie had changed drastically, just as every other part of her life had.  It had only been a week since that happened, and her entire disposition had changed; now she was cold, distrustful.  Gone was the friendly girl who happily chatted with customers, replaced by an almost entirely different person.  Everyone had noticed it--it was hard to miss or ignore--but no one who had tried to bring it up had ever pushed her for answers.  Cassie supposed that they were afraid of something, though it was hard to determine what exactly.

Finally, her shift at Jitters ended, meaning she was free to go.  She felt no remorse for leaving when there was still a bit of work she could do, especially when it seemed no one even wanted her around.  As she pushed open the door to the employee exit, she did not miss the person sat right next to it, and paid close attention to the voice.  What on earth did the woman want?  Sighing, Cassie complied, taking the indicated seat. "What is this about?" she questioned, wanting to get straight to the point.  She had no desire to skirt around whatever the subject turned out to be.

"It's nice to see you are prompt. I understand that you got wronged by a guy named Alex Blackwood, unless I am mistaken. I also understand you want some revenge," Jemma started, as she passed the files she had, which detailed a lot of the incident, and a fair amount of personal information on both Alex Blackwood and Cassandra George herself. "Now, if you look at the files at hand, you can see I have a pretty good understanding of both the incident itself and the players involved, and I have to agree, that he deserves to go down, but I will say, I don't do anything just because I believe in it."

"I will want something from you if I help take him down, I hope you understand that, but I'm willing to compensate past the revenge. I understand that this city has become a hub for meta humans, as they are refereed to, and this joint, more specifically, seems to be the hang out for various people who deal with them. I want information on the goings on of the meta humans in this town, along with it's heroes. Any observations and information you pass along will be paid for. As a show of faith if you agree to help me, I'll throw in a signing bonus," Jemma laid out, using her Seer persona. Jemma reached down and pulled a single stack of cash out of the bag and set it on the table. "If you can't recognize cash stacks, that's 20 grand right there."

Cassie listened to the words, taking note of the man's name that had previously been unknown.  She had to wonder how anyone knew of that night, but knowledge was not restrained by much.  She avoiding handling the file detailing the actual incident, deciding to take the woman's word for it that she knew what happened.  "How do you know about that?" It made her uncomfortable to even think about it, and she tried to distract herself by concentrating on the rest of what the woman said.  From what Cassie could tell it was a worthwhile deal, and if she refused she knew that the woman had a substantial amount of info on her, meaning blackmail was an unsaid threat.

Still, she could not deny the convenience of the woman showing up. "As far as your offer, you have yourself a deal, but let me make myself clear: I would rather have the man's head," she explained, "than any cash you can give me.  Keep your money; I don't need nor want it." She refused the stack, wanting nothing but revenge so that she could move on. "But if it turns out that you can't take him out, I won't be giving you anything." It was a fair offer, obviously, and it was easy to accept.  If she could not follow through then neither would Cassie, but she found herself wondering if the label meta human applied to her.  She was abnormal, obviously, but was she completely human?  In any case, information such as that was easily obtainable, though it still endangered her as a vigilante. "If, hypothetically, I were to keep some amount of info to myself, what would you do?"

"How do I know what went on, let's just say that I'm called the Seer for a reason, I see everything, I know all, mostly cause I have people you telling me, but hey, I get half the info myself. To be honest, this guys has been on my radar for a bit, so I saw your case, and thought you were the perfect candidate to make the offer to," Jemma explained using her distorted voice.

"If you are looking for the man's physical head, then you've come to the wrong place, I'm not a fighter. What of his that I can give you though, is stuff like," Jemma leads in, pulling another folder out of her bag. "His bank account," Jemma lays down a screen shot of his accounts. "Along with his private computer," Jemma lays down screenshots of different screens from the man's personal computer. "Also, any secret I can get my hands on, I can give you to do with as you wish," Jemma informed the person across from her.

"Also, please take the cash, it helps me when it comes tax time. I won't pay you again till I get through taking down Alex, but if I keep your services after taking down this man, I'll start paying you," Jemma told Cassandra.

"I don't care what information you give me. I'll be going after Alex anyways, so they no matter. Once he's gone, I will pay you per tip, though I will say, I have a habit of finding out everything, so if you try and hide something, it will probably come out at some point," Jemma warned.

A Fair Trade (Jemma and Cassandra) Empty Re: A Fair Trade (Jemma and Cassandra)

Cassie began to have second thoughts.  If the Seer had such access to information then there was no telling how far back the knowledge went.  The file on herself mentioned her family, her education, her friends, but nothing on Goner.  She could only hope that there was no file for her alter ego, but even if there was it would be fairly empty.  Goner had no true allies and was rarely seen, so there was no way the Seer had much information of her, right?

The more she thought, the less ruthless she became, until she realized that she just wanted to forget.  Sure, revenge would be nice, but could she really handle facing him again?  She couldn't even bring herself to mention his name.  The malicious desires gone, she expressed her change in thoughts. "Okay, look, anything you're capable of doing to him is great, but," she paused, "I don't think I'd be able to handle personally doing that." Her gaze angled down, and she was almost ashamed of the weakness she had shown.

"Just donate the money if you have to do something with it; I have nothing to use it for." Cassie had no motivation to use money for anything, as Alex had taken that from her as well, another reason she hated him.  But she also feared him.  He had no prior history with her yet he was able to make her do that in one night.  She had been frightened into not telling anyone, which prevented her from getting any kind of help.  Despite her new cold nature, it was just a facade to hide her vulnerability.

Jemma watched as the girl in front of her deflated. Then she made her request, which Jemma understood. "I can deal a lot of damage by myself, and that will be good for you?" Jemma asked, reaffirming the request.

"Now, with the money, I need you to leave here with it so I can count you as on payroll if I'm going to get information from you. For all I care, you can burn it, as long as it's not me doing it. So just take the money and do whatever you want with it," Jemma explained to Cassandra.

Despite it all Cassie managed a small, sad but grateful smile. "Yeah, that'd be great." She was thankful for the understanding she was met with, but she found herself wondering who the girl behind the mask was. Was the Seer someone she would get along with, or was there no difference between her identities? Cassie knew that her alter ego's personality had bled into her personal life, threatening to cut her off from people because she was being too private.

"Fine, I'll figure out something," she finally relented, seeing no point in arguing further. If she waited long enough something would come up; maybe she could give it to her parents, though doing anything with that much cash at one time would be suspicious. "Maybe I'll give it to my mom, or something."
