When first born Shisai & Shinigami were normal little kitties. Who had lots of genetic experiments performed on them. They either had a will to survive or just gods grace on them because they survived it all. Began to show unique traits like smarter or more observant natures. During a war a bombing exploded the nearby labratory and sent most everything flying or sky high...or blown to smithereens. The twins were lucky to survive but after numerous agonizingly painful weeks they took on more human features. Wandering around and at first couldn't even speak human. Just mew or meow.

Over time they learned...it wasn't long before the twins caught the attention of some black market slavers who sold "exotic wares" like freaks, mutants or otherwordly beings. They now spend their days being auctioned off together as the slavers quickly got out of them what they could do...trained them and brainwashed them...somewhat...not to use it against the slavers. Its actually for Shisai's sake that Shinigami even listens. Its often Shinigami's fault they end up returned...this repeated for many years and now the slave trade black markets planning to open up in Starling or Central City...maybe this time they'll find a master who can handle them...

Atmospheric Adaptation  The user’s lungs acclimatize and breathe in/on any gaseous mediums, whether hostile or deficient, users lungs also filter away non-gaseous substances such as dust, asbestos, etc. They can breathe toxic gases instead of oxygen and survive mountain, aerial, or terrine air deficiency, which are among the longest and most painful deaths the average human can suffer.
