Family Background:
The Rothchild family in many cases in your typical rich family. Who had ties to anyone in case anyone crossed them and could be in many ways considered a family like the Mafia. But they weren't from descent of Italian. And when they came to America they started Rothchild Tech, a business that was considered a tech business. Building only the best techonology of there time but as years went on they grew to become more of a business that had hid many illegal techonologies. And have been based out of Gotham for the longest time.

And due to them holding the idea of a very rich pure family, they would disown anyone who acted not to there standards. Sending them off to join the League of Assassins or even go start their own life. Which had several members, and the Rothchild's from a young age taught their children the tricks and scams to pull on others preparing them for the family business. Making all o f the Rothchild's very manipulative and it being rare that one came across a good one. Leading them to be a family that was to not be messed with.


Nathaniel had been privileged for most of his life, but often never recieving the treatment that his older brother received as being the perfect son. And Nathaniel being considered the second best, which was something that happened continuously throughout his life growing up. Where most people always gave his brother the attention, and once his younger siblings came the attention went to them leaving him to not really receive the affection growing up.

And the only good affection he received was from his brother who tried to be a good older brother. Leading Nathaniel to be thankful for his brother's presence. Even if his parents knew of his brother's treatment to him. Even though his mother had showed some sympathy for him growing up, but his father could really care less. As Nathaniel grew older he often isolated himself and acted out. And throughout high school he hung out with the wrong crowd. Even though growing up he had the brains and often got great grades during his school, it never managed to please his parents.

Once he graduated he had attended college, where he was studying for a degree in science due to his interest in science growing up. But once he reached his final years in college he met someone who had ties to the League of Assassins, as he told him his story, he convinced him to go and join the League of Assassins. Wanting to finally feel like he was doing something important, and his years with them lead him to often have a cruel outlook on life.

His years with the assassins had often led to him having powers, that he gained. And when he turned thirty-five he had decided to perhaps return home on a mission. And returning home he had resided in Central City and in the mean time traveling to Nanda Parat and once he found out about his niece he had decided that maybe he could return home to see what happened to see his family since looking on the internet seemed like a stupid option.

Leading him to also have vengeance on his mind upon his return to Gotham City.


Nathaniel in many cases could be described as someone who liked to act tough but secretly was very emotional in side. Which he only expressed to those who he trusted. Having strong trust issues since he was young, and not letting others in easily. And in many years it has lead him to be a man who was very sadistic, but had a strong sense about caring about others. And also having a strong sense of vengeance and justice. But due to his reckless personality he often is too busy getting back at everyone for how he was treated.

And ever since he was in college he had also developed a drinking problem, and for a short time tried to drink his pain away which learned never could take it away fully. Leading him to lash out on others and when he joined the assassins enjoying killing others and it has lead to some of his pain being taken away. And as years went on he grew a strong hatred towards the wealthy despite growing up being rich he had hated others who acted like they owned everyone when they didn't. But often would act on that and when he returned home he has developed his drinking problem once again.


Skilled Archer/Sword Fighter - Nathaniel has the natural talent for using archery and fighting with sword. Mainly because he has trained himself to be good at that sort of thing.

Night Vision - Due to being on the island he has trained himself to be able to see in the dark. And being a skilled person in night often preferring it over daytime.

Invisibility - The main reason for why his alter-ego is Shadow, since he can go invisible and hide in the shadows. Making it much easier for him to kill others without them knowing and leaving any evidence. Another reason for why he has yet to get caught and sent to prison.
